Holistic Child Development
Enhancing school readiness through aligning with CAPS Foundation Phase Life Skills themes
Laying the foundation for and instilling a life-long love for music, literacy and learning
Boosting the holistic development of young children, including social, emotional, cognitive, creative, musical, language and physical development
Come along on the adventures of our elephant friend, Joy, as she discovers different themes, meets friends along the way and learns how to deal with ‘big’ emotions!
We keep the beats with our various percussion instruments, sing and dance along and listen to rhymes and stories as we bring Joy to our future leaders!
Our Programmes are split into three groups. Please note that grouped ages are a guideline and it is entirely dependent on the ability levels of the individual children and the specific class in its entirety.
MUSIC SPROUTS
Generally focused on 1 to 2 year olds
Sprouting little ones into the exciting world of music. Familiar visuals and sounds ease them into the sounds and activities of the Music Tree classroom.
Pitter-patter go their little feet and little hands as they play our child-safe instruments and move their bodies to the beats.
Watch as the wonder grows in their eyes as they form and strengthen connections in their brains. Share stories and sing along at home with our parent package, creating everlasting memories…
MUSIC SAPLINGS
Generally focused on 2 to 4 year olds
Nourishing their natural curiosity with themes about the world around them through participating in pretend play and engaging in stories of Joy’s adventures.
Swaying and dancing to the sounds of traditional and modern children’s songs creates the world of opportunities to gain experience and develop holistically.
Sing songs, listen to rhymes and play basic patterns on our percussion instruments to boost their learning and to foster creative thinking. Learning ‘big’ emotions: how to care, share and help our friends.
MUSIC TREES
Generally focused on 4 to 7 year olds
Trumpeting to the sounds of music theory, where they learn about different instruments, music terminology and the basics of music reading. Practicing complex musical beats and patterns, while following musical notes or sounds on various percussion instruments.
Enhancing their brain development with pre-literacy and pre-mathematical activities. Whole body development through musical games and social dances. Fostering a love for learning and boosting school readiness through linking with CAPS Foundation Phase Life Skills themes.
Celebrating each other through sharing music together.
